Illuminating Table

23 June 2008 · 1 Comment

Combining three dimensional arrays of interactive color movement controlled in real time by its environment, the Illuminating Table infuses a fresh breath of life in any room or gallery. In the table format, the exciting artwork features an embedded solid-state bespoke control system that provides a reliable and maintenance free real-time interactive and responsive control that lets users’ see themselves as a part of the artwork itself. Operating in “generative art” mode, the table uses algorithms to create a continually altering pattern of colors where combinations of specifically chosen glass types provide the illusion of an endless sense of space inside the white glass box. With a three-dimensional matrix of individually controlled globes of light taking off in each direction, the Illuminating Table customizes the art inside via interactively controlled movement of the people and objects around it lending it an endless possibility of subjectivity.

The design’s crazy! Why didn’t I think of this?! This is the new concrete washbasin shaped as a fossil, the Ammonite washbasin from HighTech. Inspired by the archaic beauty of ammonites, this unique design showcases the organic qualities of concrete. I love it! Keep reading →

Ford… Tom Ford

23 June 2008 · No Comments

James Bond, or Daniel Craig, will be dressed by Tom Ford in the new 007 movie Quantum of Solace.

Call it the end of a legacy. Since as far back as 1995, every James Bond expedition has had him suited up by Italian house, Brioni.

Times Online is reporting/confirming that Tom Ford International is now the choice tailor for the Bond character. Reporting from Panama Times Online mentions, “from its temporary base over there, which may well be underwater and made of glass, a spokesman admits that Tom Ford International will now be dressing Daniel Craig. Then, she appears to take fright, insisting that any announcement has to come from the designers themselves, and diving, fretfully, off the record.”

Other news outlets have reported that Daniel Craig has already torn through as many as 50 suits during the filming. We’ll see the outcome on the big screen shortly, when the movie releases in November.

Transformer T-Shirts banned

6 June 2008 · No Comments

Very strange news. Last week a guy traveling through London’s Heathrow airport, a notoriously strict hub, got stopped and questioned for wearing a t-shirt with Megatron on it. If you’re not familiar with the program that was on the telly, Megatron is a fictional evil alien cartoon robot that’s on Transformers. A fictional cartoon robot with a gun for an arm.

The guy changed the FCUK T-shirt with Megatron on it for a white t-shirt and after that he could continue his journey.

Insane!
