Under Construction
25 May 2009 · Leave a Comment
We hate websites that only display ‘Under Construction’, so the blog is staying online. But as you might have noticed, we haven’t posted anything in a while.
Not because we don’t want to, but because we’re working on a new site. Until the time we finish that, we won’t be posting much.
Keep an eye out for the new Brutblog.com in a couple of weeks.
Update: We’re working on a dope new design. Brutblog.com won’t be available for about two weeks. Meanwhile you can surf to the blog with the URL http://sandervanliempt.wordpress.com. See you soon on the new BRUTBLOG.

The Peninsula x Nigo®
15 February 2009 · 4 Comments

You all might have heard of The Peninsula in Hong Kong, it is one of the best hotels in the world. And it is also known for it’s largest single order for the Rolls-Royce Phantom ever (14 of those babies).
Well of course a lot of celebrities visit the hotel, and this time Nigo® was in town, and he thought he wanted to “pimp” his room. By literally having his name on every single towel, bathrobe, pillow etc etc.
On the picture above you’ll see his bathroom (peep the face towels), but there’s more…

Strellson Spring/Summer 2009
5 February 2009 · Leave a Comment
We’ve checked all of the ins and outs of Strellson’s 2009 s/s collection, and we must say that there are a couple of items that are pretty nice. The sickest item is definately the grey one button jacket, with the shawl collar. Very nice. Just pre-ordered this one.

Part of a so called shark suit, this is the color that I’ve been searching for for about a year right now. Add that to the fact that I’m a big fan of one buttened, deep cut (smoking) jackets and you have a match.

Customize your LV
2 February 2009 · Leave a Comment
This is what we’re planning on doing when buying our next LV: customizing it. With the Mon Monogram program, which started in late October, shoppers can customize one of two handbags and have them made and delivered from France. Shipping generally takes less than four weeks but could take up to eight.

The South Coast Plaza boutique is one of just three in the nation – including Beverly Hills and New York – that is offering the service. Sales associates assist customers at a computer station where there are mix-and-match swatches.
Shoppers can choose between the Speedy 30 and the larger Keepall Bandouliere 55 handbags. Customization includes up to three characters, a choice of placement and type of stripe, and two choices among 16 colors.
Imagine rocking a custom Keepall 55… The cost of all this? Add 30% to the price before VAT and there you have it. Worth the money because you create an ever lasting piece of luggage that’s unique and one of a kind.

The Red Sun
1 February 2009 · Leave a Comment
There are a couple of restaurants that every Asian food lover should check out. Hakkasan London, Buddha Bar Paris, Nobu and Chang-i in Amsterdam to call a few. The Red Sun in Blaricum is one which belongs in this same line of restaurants. Check out their website for the menu.
Blaricum is located near Naarden, so after shopping at Het Arsenaal we advice you to have a bite at The Red Sun!
