In June 2005 these shades dropped in the big LV stores. Design courtesy of Pharrell (Neptunes, BBC / Ice Cream), Nigo (Bathing Ape, Baby Milo, Bape Cafe, Teriyaki Boyz, etc) and Marc Jacobs (Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs), they retailed at $1,000 and were sold out within a few days. Last August they were re-launched and this time Pharrell, Nigo and Marc added the colors purple and sea green.
Black was sold out first. Last December I spotted a sea green pair at the LV store on the Champs-Élysées, for 700 euro so if you’re fast, you’re guaranteed to get a pair.
For all the other people: eBay is the best solution right now if you want a pair. Expect prices to start at $1,500 and ending around $3,000. Now buying one of these when they re-drop is a good investment… Too bad.
