And another sick collaboration!!!

Fans of French luxury brand Louis Vuitton and fashion rebel Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons can expect an extraordinary collaboration coming up. The two will open a joint Tokyo store in September that will last for a period of three months.

According to Yves Carcelle, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, the project will be a fine way to celebrate 30 years since the French brand first opened in Tokyo. Carcelle also added that Marc Jacobs, artistic director of Louis Vuitton, admired Comme des Garçons and was an enthusiastic supporter of the idea of a joint venture.

Evisu x Grand 1888

Summer, collaboration time. At least, that’s what I think it is since I only hear about sick collabo’s. Another one is this one from Evisu. With Dutch Bicycle manufacturer Grand 1888, they’ve developed a special edition bespoke cruiser. Everything on the bike is handcrafted from the steel frame to the gold plackets on the mud guard. The bikes are all individually numbered and come with a limited selvedge constructed Evisu bike duffel.

Acne Jeans x Lanvin

Lanvin teamed up with Acne Jeans to create their first denim line. Alber Elbaz saw the light…

This marks the first jeans line from the designer, he aims to bring a Lanvin feel and offer women a variety of options to the collection. Expect dresses, tuxedo jackets, belted trench, blouson and jeans. Accessories includes denim bags, stilettos, earrings and medallion necklaces! The jeans line ranges from $550 to $650, while coats will costs $1,200 to $1,500, jewelry and handbags are expected to be priced starting from $1,500. The capsule collection is slated to hit stores in late November.

Ford… Tom Ford

James Bond, or Daniel Craig, will be dressed by Tom Ford in the new 007 movie Quantum of Solace.

Call it the end of a legacy. Since as far back as 1995, every James Bond expedition has had him suited up by Italian house, Brioni.

Times Online is reporting/confirming that Tom Ford International is now the choice tailor for the Bond character. Reporting from Panama Times Online mentions, “from its temporary base over there, which may well be underwater and made of glass, a spokesman admits that Tom Ford International will now be dressing Daniel Craig. Then, she appears to take fright, insisting that any announcement has to come from the designers themselves, and diving, fretfully, off the record.”

Other news outlets have reported that Daniel Craig has already torn through as many as 50 suits during the filming. We’ll see the outcome on the big screen shortly, when the movie releases in November.
